Visual Identity

As part of its “NetZero” program, Rolls-Royce Power Systems aims to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. One way to achieve this is to convert engines from fossil fuels to e-fuels. These engines should recieve a new visual identity.

In this project, identity is created primarily through color and light. Large-scale cladding was deliberately omitted in order to proudly present the engineering behind it. The blue pipes allude to the initial material for e-fuels: water. The mtuCore on the continuous cylinder bank forms the heart of the design. Together with the LED bar, it provides a means for status displays, animations and effects, enabling communication with the outside world.
