Whereas in older cars, cables with a total length of a hundred meters were installed, in modern vehicles this can easily be up to eight kilometers. These are subject to strict quality controls, for which Komax offers high-quality micrograph laboratories for testing crimp contacts with the MicroLab series.
In the context of a design competition, a concept was developed for the existing functional prototype of the MicroLab 45, with particular emphasis on feasibility, costs and safety. The design won against the competitors and was launched in 2023.
