iFACTORY Conference Table

This standing table was designed for production morning meetings at the new BMW iFACTORY plant in Debrecen, Hungary. BMW had several requirements, including the use of item profiles, brakeable castors and a reference to the iFACTORY look and feel.

The unique construction of the table with item aluminum profiles, which are screwed inclined into two wooden plates, is reminiscent of the look of BMW rims on the one hand, and the Mae West statue at Effnerplatz in Munich on the other. In terms of geometry, this is a rotational hyperboloid, which was constructed in the proportions of the golden ratio.
