More than six million people in Germany cannot read and write or can only do so inadequately. Worldwide, there are approximately 781 million illiterate people. Especially among adults there is still a strong stigma attached to this topic. Those affected are ashamed to talk about it and therefore don’t take up offers of help.

Tabula rasa is a project that aims to raise awareness and destigmatize illiteracy. A conscious effort was made to give this easy-to-use learning device a high-quality, elegant appearance in order to convey a sublime, dignified feeling to the learner.
